The Center
Ideally located in the rural community of Silverado Canyon, the Silverado Canyon Children's Center offers children the chance to explore a natural environment while still allowing parents convenient access from home to work. Being licensed by the Department of Social Services for no more than 60 children, allows them to offer a nuturing, family oriented environment.
PhilosophyThe program emphasizes process rather than product. Because children learn best through active participation, discovery experiences and "hands-on" activities are stressed. The children's center provides physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
The
StaffThe staff stays informed on new developments in early childhood education by attending college classes, participating in workshops, and reading professional periodicals. All staff belong to the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
